A/B – Experimental AR livestream with audience participation

Created by Harald Haraldsson, A/B is a Unity and Google's ARCore interactive livestream experiment where the online audience is invited to direct Harald which way to navigate Chinatown in NYC. The audience is presented a choice (when asked) to vote on A or B scenarios. The higest number of votes, direct Pablo in that direction. For 42 mins the project was broadcasted live and exhibited at 9to5.tv, a digital art exhibition in Atlanta, Georgia.

The project includes an UI that is fed to WebSockets and then to Unity actions. The full list of software and hardware used includes Unity, ARCore, Android Pixel, Websockets, Pusher, Youtube Live and Maestro.io.
