Four Transitions – The (unstoppable) passing of time on the half a century of technological advancement

Together, four displays work in tandem to unveil the current time, with each unit taking one minute to compose one numeral, deploying visual compositions and choreographies that correspond to the nature and character of each technology.

Created by Matthias Dörfelt, ‘Block Bills’ is a series of 64 banknotes generated from the Bitcoin Blockchain. Each banknote represents one block in the chain and the whole series consist of 64 consecutive blocks starting at block #456476.

Weird Second-order Loops is a series of computer-generated animation loops that never repeat. Each of the loops is centred around a playful and simple cyclical idea that is a procedural reinterpretation of a long existing animation cliché, potentiating it ad infinitum.

‘Your Line or Mine’ is an interactive installation in the Stedelijk Museum comprised of three continually changing crowd sourced animations drawn entirely by the museum’s visitors.

Robo Faber is an autonomous drawing robot determined to continuously reproduce graphic connectors. It creates drawings generated using a preset system that is based on the the same process as drawings created by hand.
