2773 GodsEngine [Environment]

godsengine

GodsEngine is a project realized by Matthias Dittrich, Johannes Tonollo and Tobias Friese during a multitouch class at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam.

The users are able to influence a tiny, and maybe growing, mass of citizens. The GodsEngine gives a rough and joyful overview of the greeks mythologies gods and their coexistence. The user could put food to the plateau by holding a lighter at one place for a while, or kill  the inhabitant by hitting them with the divine aura.

Also to note GodEngine is an original novel written by Craig Hinton and based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.

A fun, interactive project by the team. You can find out more info and screens by visiting Matthias website which in fact is an interesting piece of flash interface by itself.

Movies below show an early version of the project (2006) and the most recent polished version of the multi-touch interface prototype.

  • Thank you for posting our project. We are happy about that. Also I want to note that Christopher Warnow also involved in developing the godEngine (the first Project). Just for completeness :)
