Lilt Line for Wii [Games]

a retro rhythm racing beat ‘em up action and one of our favourite iPhone games ever is making it’s way to Nintendo Wii. If you haven’t played it before, Lilt Line is a wonderful example of when hardware and software play together in harmony. The sync between the sound, touch and tilt, is very unique to the platform and there are very few (if any) games like it.  It’s port to the Wii does make sense, considering WiiMote and must similar interface but somewhat different context. Of course, it would be great to see LiltLine on the iPad too but Gordon, the name behind the game, is slightly sceptical of iPad’s size and tilt UI mechanics.

The Nintendo Wii version of Lilt Line is being published by Gaijin Games. The release date is not known yet although nintendolife.com had a chance to have a play with the game and you can read the preview here.

I tried contacting the maker of this game about some sync / delay issues (try playing the later levels… (the hit areas of the beats are misaligned) – and he did not respond, at all.

I showed this game to multiple of my friends, and everybody has the same issue: A tap in time for the beat, and with the line visually inside the tap-area, does not get registered properly.

I'm otherwise loving the 16-bit tunes, but with this game being unfair (or at least severely lacking an easy mode…) – and the maker apparently liking the base code so much he's porting it instead of fixing it…. I'd hold off on recommending it.

I agree with @Herman, this game is simply unplayable altought the idea and dubstep track were good ideas

Gordon dropped me a line, and patiently explained a lot to me.
Though to me this game still feels slightly unfair just now, he made some good points about beat matching, and the moment one taps. He said he'd have a gander after finishing the Wii version, which is all I could ask for I guess :)

So: This is an awesome game, with some minor percieved glitches, that I *do* recommend :)
