Camera Art [iPhone]
“Camera Art” is a term used when you throw your camera into the air using long exposure to generate imagery, a form of Kinetic Photography if you like. Of course, with Camera Art for the iPhone you don’t actually need to throw your iPhone around but rather the app uses the motion sensor to detect movement and apply long exposure to your photo. More options would be nice but without understanding SDK access to the camera functionality it is hard to say what is actually possible. Nevertheless, $0.99 is a lot cheaper than a broken regular camera if you want to play around.
When you tap the shutter button, the shutter is not immediately fired. Instead, it uses the accelerometer to detect movement to fire the shutter. Thus, the camera has to be moving while the shutter opens, for the smooth lines and lights.Â
If you want to know more about camera tossing, make sure you visit this group on Flickr. There is some amazing imagery being created and we are sure a lot of broken cameras with it.
Simple yet fun little app to mess with iPhone’s camera.Â
