114 Color Expert [iPhone]
Where many iPhone users focus on entertainment (most popular downloads always tend to be games) this application is a prime example how iPhone apps can really add to your workflow.
What may at first seem like a simple colour picker app, on closer inspection turns out that this is one very sophisticated colour application. I was surprised to find such extensive amount of features Color Expert offers.
Amongst many to list, one that draws attention, is the ability to sample colours from photographs. Say you find yourself looking at a wonderful mix of colours, all you have to do is take a photo, load it into Color Expert and let it do the job of giving your appropriate pantone reference codes. Of course, iPhone camera may not be the most useful tool in capturing exact colours but never the less it’s a great start in composing your colour palette for your next creation.
If colour plays a part in what you do for a living or if it’s purely your hobby, regardless of whether you are a web developer, artist, designer or an architect, this is one application that is a must on your iPhone. Â

This looks really great and simple enough to use. Might be a way to decide on print colours in the future. After all, all iPhone displays are the same :)

Actually, not all iPhone’s are the same. 3G versions have a slight brownish tint to the screen. :)
