4928 FlipTime [iPhone]

fliptime00

FlipTime is an iPhone application which is a simple desk clock & calendar designed to look like the traditional flight information boards at airports. It uses actual sound sampled from actual clocks so as to realize the flip-flap feelings. In addition, you can also tap any of the flaps and they will shortly refresh using the same effect (see video below).

FEATURES:
– Portrait mode
- Landscape mode
- Can flip panels by flicking from top to down or tapping them
- Can show next/previous month by flicking horizontally
- Can reset by shaking

The next version of FlipTime (2.0) will add alarm, skin change feature and american holidays.

FlipTime was created by omletworks, a design studio based in Tokyo whose main focus is to create simple but fun applications for iPhone/iPod Touch.Find out more at http://www.omletworks.com

really nice looking. now i just need a good iphone dock to display this properly.

  3. Very well done. Excellent work. A few suggestions for you next update:

    1. An option that allows the user to color (pale yellow?) the current date on the calendar >> this is really, really helpful when determining where the current day is within the current month (for context when making plans, etc)
    2. An option to choose a few different types of “tick” sounds, and also to set the tick volume. While I can turn down the volume on my phone, that means I won't hear calls. But if I want to set this next to my bed, and want just a slight tick sound, that would be great.
    3. Partner with another iPhone app maker – such as Ambience – and embed the capability to play nature sounds with a timer (rain, waves, birds, etc), so that this great clock can set it by your bed, help put you to sleep with natural sounds, then shut off the sound after a set time.

Excellent app. Hope you keep adding and improving it.

    regards H

  5. It'd be nice if you could turn off the seconds flipper and have it just show a blank set of flipper things there so it's not visually so distracting.

  6. Looks a very handy application for iPhone users. It would be more better if this has an alarm clock feature.
