iFound [iPhone]

iFound is a new iPhone application from tha ltd for browsing ffffound.com, very popular image bookmarking service and inspiration website. Released only hours ago, iFound allows you to browse public as well as if you have an account, see your own images and “i Like” others.

I, unfortunately, do not have an account on ffffound (nobody offered yet =], anyone??) (i do now, Thanks to Keita!) so I am unable to will soon test the member features. Nevertheless, even without the account, the app has been created with some truly neat features allowing you to fully browse the site. On start the app shows you latest 10 images submitted and scrolling vertically further, another 10 are loaded. If you tap on any image the app will also display 10 images and more sharing similar tags. You will find yourself quickly spending hours browsing the ever-growing database of some trully wonderful imagery submitted by the ffffound community.

In addition, you can control the quality of the images loaded in Settings. Default quality is set to “Auto,” which will automatically load images depending on what type of connection (WiFi or 3G) you have.

This is a five star app even if you don’t have ffffound account. A little pricey but if you are after the truly wonderful inspiration on the go and you know ffffound, this should be a pretty easy decision (itunes link below, hit it!).

I've got the ffffound screensaver on my computer at work. It's a great way to get you sprinting across the office – in order to desperately shake the mouse and bring back the desktop – when a client walks in and you have a highly stylised “Fuck” scrolling across your monitor in a particularly striking font.

…maybe I should get the iPhone version instead.

Big fan of ffffound, as it's a closed community the content is quality, it doesn't get diluted with half decent images.

If you're not a ffffound member and you have iView (iphone app) you can pull images from ffffound that way.

btw… I would love a ffffound invite!!!

that 2.99 price tag for the ffffound app does seem a bit steep when i can just view the site fairly easily with mobile safari (although the continual scrolling does look pretty slick). still though, i'd be down for getting it for free :)

Best implementation of ffffound for the iPhone yet… Can't wait to give it a whirl! Just dumped my weekly app budget finally grabbing the full version of Instapaper… so maybe next week.

And as for the ffffound invite… it would save me many hours of lost sleep as I peruse the net looking for invites, and struggle trying to post/archive links to inspiring finds
