I agree, totally! Even better as motion paths, although that would be easy to convert once you have the splines.

Most Creative and Innovative App Ever!!

The use of the iPhone itself as a 3-dimensional paintbrush and the air/environment as it's endless canvas is an amazingly innovative concept. I can't imagine some of the awesome uses and interesting results this app can produce, like in the hands of a ballerina or break-dancer, or tracing your movement on a roller coaster or any carnival ride... It presents a fun challenge to try to create complex shapes and strokes that represent real objects.

Some amazing features are the full color spectrum color picker, the ability to view your creation from every angle in real-time just by tilting your device, the ability to submit to the online gallery at movosity.com, everyone gets a unique number ID so you can view all your own submissions as well as everyone else's submissions on the online gallery and the in-app gallery. The movosity website is a creative masterpiece itself. I excitedly wait in anticipation for movosity version 2.0!

I understand your points and definitely think this has great potential and may be the begginnings to something fantastic, but now, as-is, I feel it is missing that something extra that I think it has the potential to provide. I'd be interested to know what the developers plans are to further enrich this product. I can see this functioning well as some kind of mapping tool. I look forward to seeing your drawn journey home tonight. :)

Is it one continuous line or can you turn the "brush" on and off while doing a drawing?

I would say that the process of creation is as important as the outcome. Take for example traditional drawings, which you layer to produce desired effects. Similarly, I could begin to layer the 3d "scribbles' to create an image. What is interesting in the image is not just about the outcome but the process of creation. Now, if you contextualize this process, spatially ie in the living room, lift, kitchen, the process is very important. This is especially so when you begin to understand the limitations in space, the arm stretch, obsticles.....drawings become much more meaningful.
I will "draw" my journey home tonight and post =]

Good review. I am curious as to what practicable function this serves other than just being a tool to scribble in 3D. It is great that these developers are taking advantage of the technology in the iphone but sometimes It seems like a show of "look what we can do" leaving you with a "wow" and then... "okay, what am I going to use this for....?" The gallary looks like a bunch of scribbles in 3d to me. On one hand I want to try it because of its 3d capabilities, but after seeing the examples, it looks like only scribbles can be drawn which renders its usefullness to me null.
