Auto Smiley [openFrameworks, Mac]

Auto Smiley is a computer vision application that runs in the background while you work. The software analyzes your face while you are working and if it detects a smile it sends the the ascii smiley face letters “: )” as keyboard presses to the front most application.

    This application is great, it finally makes something real in these virtual conversations. I was always curious about how real a smile was, because I couldn't see the other one's face. It was about time the Auto Smiley showed up. But I can't help wondering if it's safe, I mean, won't I need a clean registry for it? Will my PC be fully protected? I need more details, please, before I install it, and I can't wait to do that, it seems like a funny way of chatting!
