While dreams still remain an undiscovered territory and understanding why we dream still puzzles many scientists (oneirology), we might as well just face the fact that we may never know. No one likes bad dreams but the good ones we all do. I for one never remember them which might not be such a bad thing after all but sleeping I do love. Considering we spend almost a third of our life dreaming, surely, wouldn’t be great if this third was somehow recorded?

Dream Recorder is a sleep monitoring system detecting body motions with a professional night vision processing for iSights. Motions and sleep phases are strongly correlated. Discover the most unconventional experience you’ll ever had with your Mac.

Dream Recorder uses your iSight camera to monitoring your sleep with night vision. Control your nights with accurate statistics, including night time, recovery and dream periods. The app also provides full iTunes integration for importing your own sounds for relaxation, waking-up or dream feedback. What else could you ask for when voice controlled snooze is also included. Not something that would be good particularly good for me as I am more of “make me move” to wake up kind of guy. And if this was not enough then how about voice controlled notepad for your dreams which is activated by begining to speak. You can annotate them next day.

A fun all-around app to explore what happens during the third of your life !
