Plainview [Mac]
Plainview is a full-screen web browser built using Cocoa and WebKit for Mac OSX.
Perfect for presentations or websites or just fast, focused browsing without anything else getting in the way. Whilst it does not include tabs, multiple screens are available. By pressing the known Command+T on the keyboard will bring up a bezel showing your other windows. If you need access to the location window, it’s available with Command+L. History and Bookmarks are included, also accessible using shortcut keys. If you ever need to resort to the menu-bar, moving your mouse to the top of the screen will display the menu with all the options you would expect.
In addition Plainview has a presentation mode – so you can build a presentation of, say, 10 sites you’ve built, and then show them one by one.
If you found Firefox or Safari just not being the best tools for full screen browsing or presentations, Plainview might be just the thing. Try it.
