Hello folks this game is really something, I tried out many browser based strategy games, but in difference to the others this definitely gives you the “feel of a real game”. You simply choose your unit by clicking, you direct your unit to where to move or attack, handling is easy but also the strategical options the player has got are many. Especially people who liked the old and legendary Battle Isle series from Blue Byte or SSI´s Panzer General Series down in the early 90ies certainly will be enjoying this game. Hex map games forever °!!°

Pixels in the shape of tanks,
make me want to give much thanks.
They may be small, they may be wee
can’t beat the turn based strategy.
Tiny pixels one by one,
come together to form wee fun.
Just like the users, so friendly
one big happy community.

I love pixulz coz thei make me feel happy!
And they do so by being as digital and abstract as art can be. I’ve always been interested in the limits of recognizability and making pixel art smaller and smaller is a way to do so. (this does not apply to weewar, but) Its amazing how much impact a single pixel has on a sprite and what you can do with the black outline (leaving it away to make differences between a 1 px thickness and, well, 1px thickness :).
I almost forgot the historic aspect! Pixels are retro, pixels are history, everything is still made of pixels. We live between pixels more then ever (we just don’t see the tree for the woods :).
Regarding Weewar, it’s really cute and fun! There is no other browsergame I’ve been playing for 2 years and longer.
I have to thank you for that,
x
PS: have you ever seen a colon fall?

PPS: the new photoshop has a pixelgrid, weheee!

Ode to a pixel…
Alone it has little to tell
But together they paint heaven and hell
I worship the dot
That has got the lot
The small but so lovely pixel

This is it, I promise:
When searching for pixel perfection
All the dots need to make a connection
So Weewar gives thanks
For its troopers and tanks
Pixels united to give us protection
