unwrappingLib [Processing]

unwrappingLib00

Martin Fuchs has just released an unwrapping library for Processing. With this Library you are able to flatten triangles from 3D into two dimensions. Its usful to unwrapp Lowpolymodels for reconstruction, digital production.

Download the unwrappingLib and the required toxiclibscore. Unzip and put the extracted folders into the libraries folder of your processing sketches.

Martin has also posted some examples of usage you can get here and make sure you also check out his flickr page and site for more examples and models built.

Reminds me of Form#Z functionality where you could unwrap any 3D object together with tags to glue later. Produced some wonderful results especially when you unwrapped blob shapes with 1000s of polygons.
