Ishin-Denshin – Physicality and intimacy through sound and touch

Developed at Disney Research by Yuri SuzukiOlivier Bau and Ivan Poupyrev, Ishin-Denshin is an interactive installation that addresses physicality and intimacy in digital audio communication by transmitting sound through touch. The word Ishin-Denshin is a four-kanji mantra which represents the traditional Japanese concept of interpersonal communication through unspoken mutual understanding.
