The app allows endless browsing through the 9 movie scenes with insight into the story that take place on a fictional cruise liner created by the artist. Swipe or tap to flick through the videos and watch the scenes in loops with beautiful accompaniment written and composed by Hans Op de Beeck as well.

There is no scores, no aims, no enemies, just pure inspiration and “tranquility”.

Re_Find is a simple but beautiful difference finding game for the iPhone . The game has two game modes; Train in Free Play and, when you’re good enough, try and survive as many rounds as you can in Time Attack. The faster you are, the more points you get; the further you go, the harder it gets.

Beautifully crafted, minimal, refreshing UI and will have you tapping for hours.

Elliott Kember is a freelance web developer based in Bath, England who builds very exciting and innovative web apps. Most recent works include Hot Potato – quick-fire Twitter fun, Nurph – cranking out some Node.js performance, Simple Auth Twitter – for the coming OAuthpocalypse and CPU Stats for the machines in his new office.

I’ve only come across Elliott’s work few days ago, via the beautiful group task management app called Speckle. Speckle got thumbs up on AppStorm and after trying it for few days, setting up CA tasks, I was very impressed. Now that Sarah is working at CA, having ability to share tasks has become very important. I have tried a number of apps in the past, including Basecamp, Remember the Milk and others but most of them were about spending more time setting up the tasks than actually doing them. Speckle is beautifully simple, appearing almost featureless but once you are in it you realise that all the clever stuff is hidden away making the app feel very intuitive. I can create projects, create lists and tasks to fill them and then split the task into milestones. Moving the tasks around to prioritise is easy with drag and drop and so is inviting another user to your project. I can happily say that for the next few months my “getting things done” setup includes Task Paper for personal and Speckle for group. Projects in Task Paper now include links to group tasks on Speckle so jumping between them is pretty easy. There are many clever little touches in Speckle which alongside linkli.st, makes Speckle one of my top web-apps.

Created by Alex Corbi and Johannes Schnettker, FlyBaby is an under 10k HTML5+JavaScript 3d form tool allowing you to create generative objects by specifying multiples, rotations, duplications, sins and cosins + more. Scratch like set-up, you build modifiers as an expanding tree with visualisation window included allowing you to rotate drawings in 3D.

Alex writes: Html is not a weak technology anymore, with the canvas tag being supported by the newest browsers and the power of css3 and javascript “amazing” can be implemented. With this Webapp users can intuitively compose 3d forms without programming skills, UI is being kept simple but effective and the possibilities are endless. Try it and stay tuned for further updates, there is a lot of nice features still in the pipeline.

Shot Shot Shoot is the latest offering from Erik Svedang, the name behind Kometen we already mentioned on CAN. Shot Shot Shoot represents (Erik writes) a new way of playing games with your friends, combining the magic of computers with the special interactions made possible by board games. The goal of the game is simple: destroy the five squares on the opponent’s side of the board. Manoeuvre single shots with high precision or overwhelm the other player with massive attack waves.

G is a Gravitation simulator designed for iPad /iPhone created by Oriol Ferrer Mesià. G allows you to quickly experiment the effects of the Universal Gravitation by adding bodies into the simulation, seeing how they react to each other in real time.

The app allows you can change the speed and the value of the Gravitational Constant which factors how strongly each body attracts other bodies. The placement, the mass and the initial velocity of the newly added bodies will dictate how “successful” your system will be. Bodies will collide in G so if one of your bodies hits another body, they will merge into a single body. The physics implemented in G follow “Newton’s Laws of Universal Gravitation“, which states that every massive particle in the universe attracts every other massive particle with a force which is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

Luckily you don’t have to worry about the math, just click away and create your play in your own universe. Highly meditative.

StutterSpot is a reactive light and sound installation developed by Pierre Proske while he was artist in resident at Ciant in Prague.

A computer controlled spotlight projects a cone of light when a person enters the space. It pulses and flickers based on a person’s distance to the light, emitting a crackling, watery noises as the light changes. The closer to the centre of the light, the more chaotic the sounds become. It is an experiment in making light tangible, through sound.

Application to control the light was made using openFrameworks together with custom DMX code based on an SDK for this DMX interface. You can get the code here.

Once again we are back with the collection of most wonderful and creative clocks now available in the AppStore. They are simple to understand, not too hard to program and fun to play with. Most probably more “useful” once iPhone OS4 is out (background process), nevetheless always beautiful to play with. My favorite, this time around, would be Analog Digital Clock and Alice Clock. Analog Digital Clock

This is an iPhone app designed by Maarten Baas. Actually, it’s just the iPhone version of one of his Real Time clocks which he presented during last years Salone del Mobile in Milan. The clock is actually a film, you can see an actor painting the segments of a giant digital clock black and then wiping them clean again. (via Today and Tomorrow)

Created by Vormplus, a small design studio from Ghent Belgium, ColorMyDay is a designer clock for the iPhone and iPod Touch. You can change the way ColorMyDay looks. Change the size or pick one of the five different overlays. Overlays are available in black and white. For some reason the ver 1 was rejected from the appstore. The team is working on the update and we hope it will be available soon.

Exquisite Clock

We’ve already covered exquisite clock in a separate post but it deserves another mention considering the recent updates and exhibitions. In a nutshell, Exquisite Clock is a clock made of numbers taken from everyday life as seen, captured and uploaded by people from all over the world. This project was created and developed Joao Henrique Wilbert at FABRICA in 2008. Creative Direction: Andy Cameron. App by Poppy, uses a physical engine to break down digits of a digital clock. When the time changes, the dots start moving to display the new time.
