In the final week of the last year’s fall 10-week program at the School for Poetic Computation (SFPC), students presented their work in progress and its underly ideas in a public showcase. Here is a selection of projects that were presented.

Femmebit is a curated festival featuring the most current and relevant work in the field of video art and new media— uniting an all-female roster of artists working in Los Angeles.

An interactive (and immersive) documentary on code and creativity,  Jonathan Minard and James George’s CLOUDS is an ambitious project that is several years in the making. CAN donned an Oculus Rift DK2, explored its landscape and has weighed-in with a review.

Mattia Casalegno (multifaceted Italian artist based in Los Angeles, 1981) takes inspiration from disciplines such as anthropology, biology, ecology, and neurosciences, deploying a vast array of technologies and expressive forms, with a natural inclination for new media languages.

Ghost is an interactive installation of a snow storm, raging within an abandoned, barren landscape. Within this storm the visitor can make out a procession of human forms which seemingly try to find a way out. The bodies are remnants of the previous visitors, their ghosts, trapped in the hostile environment.
