Created as a collaboration between 9 artists, It’s doing it is an online group exhibition of computer generated images that autonomously updates on a daily basis over the course of 45 days. All of the works in the show are instruction-based artworks expressed through computer programs written by the artists. These programs generate new images once daily that can be viewed on the website.

The Wizard of AI – Alan Warburton

The Wizard of AI is a 20-minute (AI-generated) video essay by Alan Warburton about the cultural impacts of generative AI. Produced over three weeks at the end of October 2023, one year after the release of the infamous Midjourney v4, the video itself is “99% AI” and was produced using generative AI tools like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Runway and Pika.

The Case for a Small Language Model – Generative AI and Authorship

The Case for a Small Language Model is a speculative AI installation inspired by the work of Dutch composer and poet Rozalie Hirs. The installation shows the entire book printed on five 30 meter long strips of labelprinter paper that scroll in both directions As the five lines move back and forth, a vertical reading allows for new combinations to emerge.

Helios 2024 is a celebration of the sun in its phase of solar maximum by audiovisual artist Dan Tapper. The exhibition gathers solar data from space organizations, as well as utilizing Tapper’s DIY devices that encode solar data into lo-fi playable records and reveal radio spectrum from the earth’s ionosphere and space.

Uncanny Rd. is a drawing tool that allows users to interactively synthesise street images with the help of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). The project was created as a collaboration between Anastasis Germanidis and Cristobal Valenzuela to explore the new kinds of human-machine collaboration that deep learning can enable.

All of the works in the show are instruction-based artworks expressed through computer programs written by the artists. These programs generate new images once daily that can be viewed on the website.

Raw materials, satellite images, organic textures, brush strokes and architectural fragments are all blended together into a dense Google Maps style panorama extending in all directions.

Unsigned Mirror is an application for Mac and Windows that allows you to create a slit-scan image by dragging an image to the mirror object in the window.

Studio Hands use Processing and openFrameworks to send send designs of T-shirts and the bag via sound to be screen-printed.
