When Niklas Roy was invited to show My Little Piece of Privacy at Sherbrooke’s Media Art Biennia lÉspace [IM] Média, he decided that he had to modify it slightly. Last week Niklas Roy proposed students at the School of Art and Design Offenbach build computers out of cardboard. Not really knowing at all where this will lead to, results included an information distribution knot, a mechanical NAND gate, a Speedway PRO 1000 racer game and his own digital cardboard plotter.

The Wizard of AI is a 20-minute (AI-generated) video essay by Alan Warburton about the cultural impacts of generative AI. Produced over three weeks at the end of October 2023, one year after the release of the infamous Midjourney v4, the video itself is “99% AI” and was produced using generative AI tools like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Runway and Pika.
Helios 2024 is a celebration of the sun in its phase of solar maximum by audiovisual artist Dan Tapper. The exhibition gathers solar data from space organizations, as well as utilizing Tapper’s DIY devices that encode solar data into lo-fi playable records and reveal radio spectrum from the earth’s ionosphere and space.
