Symphony in Acid – Typography, sound and (the limits of) language

Created as a collaboration between Max Cooper (Music) and Ksawery Komputery (video), ‘Symphony in Acid’ is a (generative) music video that maps every sound to the writings of Ludwig Wittgenstein with references to the combination of orchestral-like synths with 303-like synthesis of acid house.

Four Transitions – The (unstoppable) passing of time on the half a century of technological advancement

Created by Jürg Lehni for the collection of HeK – House of electronic Arts in Basel, ‘Four Transitions’ is an artwork about the passing of time. Together, four displays work in tandem to unveil the current time, with each unit taking one minute to compose one numeral, deploying visual compositions and choreographies that correspond to the nature and character of each technology.

To enhance the hypnotic and ritualistic aspects of their music, Yerçekimi (Gravity), a band from İstanbul, Turkey created a website that uses satellite imagery of alien landscapes from around the world and in doing so matches the atmosphere of their music perfectly.

Atlås – Guided, generative and conversational music experience for iOS

Created by Agoston Nagy, Atlås is an ‘anti game environment’ that generates music in a conversational cognitive space. The app includes automatically generated tasks that are solved by machine intelligence without the need of human input. Agoston questions ad infinitum (ability to continue forever), presence, human cognition, imagination, and more broadly corporate driven automatisms and advanced listening practices.

Roger Water – Parametrically generated, animated and populated A/V experience

Created for and in collaboration with an electronic music band Niagra, Roger Water is a web based interactive 360 VR and live A/V experience by Stefano Maccarelli. The project is an a endless immersive exploration of a generative, infinite open world, set in a surreal Earth-like world, of a parallel universe connected to ours, populated by objects from modern terrestrial civilisation and terrestrial creatures that behave in unusual ways.

‘PERACH’ is a biofeedback art installation that allows visitors to ‘feel’ the interior electrical happenings of their plants. Perach consists of a multi-sensor IoT device along with a web platform that provides visitors with the ability to hear, and visually perceive the changes taking place inside plants.

Created by Rayane Jemaa, the project investigates representation and counterfactual histories of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in a selection of video games.

Found in Translation is an interactive, immersive installation where using their own spoken sentences, visitors viscerally experience the process of machine translation. Visualizations show how the machine learning model clusters words from different languages by semantic similarity, and translations are presented typographically and auditorily across 24 languages.
