The First Class – School for Poetic Computation (SFPC)

One of the more exciting developments within the art and technology circles over the last few months was the announcement and the launch of the School for Poetic Computation (SFPC). Operating under the motto “more poems less demos”, this new educational venture is designed to offer an intensive code, design, hardware and theory bootcamp operating out of Brooklyn, New York. The school is a partnership between Zach Lieberman, Jen Lowe, Amit Pitaru and Taeyoon Choi. Earlier this year CAN published a conversation with the founders. Now, the school has completed the The First Class and presented projects, work in progress and collaborations at the Eyebeam Art and Technology Center (exhibition site).

We select and present 5 projects that have drawn our attention. For the full list, please see this post on the SFPC website.
