Created by Jono Brandel aka jonobr1, Neuronal Synchrony is a local web application to dynamically generate animations in real-time. Comprised of a node.js server to send and receive information to and from the Monome 128 and a webpage that handles these inputs and generates animations, Neuronal Synchrony is both a visual instrument and a webapp. The video you see below video is a live recording of Jono running and playing the software to music, Panoramic by Lusine.

Vectoglyph – Vector forms as a foreign language

Created by Nicolas Boillot, ‘Vectoglyph’ is a project exploring both the behaviour and implications of GPT-2 AI, a text generating model developed by OpenAI that is able to generate coherent texts in English on demand (including “fake news”).

Spheres of Influence – Drawing lifelines of the city

Created by the SCI-Arc Faculty members Curime Batliner and Jake Newsum for the for the third annual Mextropoli Festival, Spheres of Influence is a temporary installation installed in the patio of Laboratorio Arte Alameda. Part installation and part live performance,  it uses a robotic system from Staubli to paint layers of graphics (abstracted from the city) onto a series of human-scale spheres.
