While dreams still remain an undiscovered territory and understanding why we dream still puzzles many scientists (oneirology), we might as well just face the fact that we may never know. No one likes bad dreams but the good ones we all do. I for one never remember them which might not be such a bad thing after all but sleeping I do love. Considering we spend almost a third of our life dreaming, surely, wouldn't be great if this third was somehow recorded?

Computed Curation – Curating photography with neural networks

Created by Philipp Schmitt (with Margot Fabre), ‘Computed Curation’ is a photobook created by a computer. Taking the human editor out of the loop, it uses machine learning and computer vision tools to curate a series of photos from an archive of pictures.

User 632 – Depth mapped pedestrian profiles by UNDEF

User 632 is an installation that stores the behaviour of the people who look at it by monitoring them in return. It is designed to know when and how a person passes and stores information as data or ID dependant on proximity.

‘Murmur’ bridges physical and virtual using sound

Murmur enables communication between public and the projection by simulating the movement of sound waves, building a luminous bridge between the physical and the virtual.
