On November 6 & 7, a unique FREE event will unite artists, technologists, designers, professionals, students, and any creative mind interested in exploring state of play and its relationship with creativity and technology. Expect thrilling talks, fascinating interactive installations, unique workshops and stunning live performances.

Artists have the capacity to turn ideas upside down, bend thinking systems and disrupt the existing values to create the unexpected, the innovative, the creative idea. This subversive attitude is also inherent to children who are doing it naturally when playing. The creative process involves in some way to use our inner child to take a fresh look at world. Too often technology is associated with ideas of coldness and rigidity. We have chosen to explore this “State of Play” at the festival this year to debunk those false images and show the inventiveness of artists when they start creating using their inner child.

FIBER Festival 2015: Symposium & Workshop vvvv

With The Subterranean theme FIBER Festival has a devised a metaphor to explore the politico-aesthetics of our digital world. In an extensive programme covering two days, the visitor can immersive him or herself in the shadowy world of new aesthetics and interactive forms, created by artists whose toolboxes extend to online communities, dark patterns, data and algorithms.

The First Class – School for Poetic Computation (SFPC)

The school has completed the The First Class and presented projects, work in progress and collaborations at the Eyebeam Art and Technology Center. CAN selects and presents 5 great projects that have drawn our attention.

Transcranial – Collaborative project by Klaus Obermaier, Daito Manabe and Kyle McDonald

Earlier this year, Resonate festival was the host to Transcranial, a CAN initiated project bringing Klaus Obermaier, Daito Manabe and Kyle McDonald to Belgrade for two weeks to work on a new performance piece, creating a bridge between three festivals in Europe.
