As soon as Rainer Kohlberger heard that the theme for 2009’s biennal stop.spot! festival was «Text and Music» he documented all the Hooklines that suddenly appeared in his head that day and visualized in realtime animated pictures.
«Hooks» are those tiny edgy fragments of a songtext that nest inside your head, and mostly they come with a strong connection to their associated music. Some of them reoccur over and over again, sometimes I didn’t hear the corresponding song in two years. For this installation, I took the most significant ones and created real-time animated pictures out of them.
A collection of visual experiments, collated into a single projection visualizing text, words, meanings. See more screens on Flickr.
