The Overkill is a 48 hours nonstop event focused on the gaming culture located in Enschede, Netherlands. The festival stands at the point where films, video games, art, technology and science meet and interact with each others. The festival wants to show how this interconnections influence the evolution of our society.
In partnership with the Rijksmuseum Twenthe and the Twente Biennale they will host their festival on the 24th and 25th of january 2015 in the Rijksmuseum. The Overkill will present an adapted version of the festival, as opening host of the new exhibitions of the rijksmuseum : “sublime landscape in gaming” and “metamorphose : Ovid in the contemporary art”. For 30 hours non-stop the Overkill will invade the museum with games, interactive installations, art, demos, lectures and more...
