vitreous is a new experimental film by Robert Seidel. Originally conceived as a media façade artwork of 80 × 24 × 14 Meters (Target City Lights, Minneapolis, USA, 2012), it later developed in a large-scale projection of 4 × 14 Meters (German Filmmuseum, Frankfurt, Germany, 2015). The short film released this week and features a music score composed by Nikolai von Sallwitz.
Created using 3DStudio Max in combination with custom built tools.
30 pieces of molded plastic, 2 HD projectors – hovering in the dark of Berlin’s 401contemporary gallery is Robert Seidel’s latest projection sculpture. Suspended from the ceiling and drenched in waves of light the amorph, skeletal structure comes alive – intricate, fragile, otherworldly.
