Pictobrowser is what some may refer to as a ‘better’ flickr slideshow player for your site. Whilst flickr slideshow may offer some basic, quite limited functionality, Pictobrowser is a highly customizable player you can embed to best suit your images and your website’s design.
You are able to specify width and height of the player, image alignment, titles (on/off), notes (on/off), autohide of thumbnails, image zoom, background colour and navigation colour.
To get your own, click on any pictobrowser, enter your flickr username, choose image set, tag or group and copy and paste the HTML code on your site or blog.
In addition, a more sophisticated PictoBuilder interface is available on the Pictobrowser’s website. Here you can specify more settings including colours, size, and other mentioned above.
If you are using WordPress, also have a look at this plugin by Kumara Sastry for embedding Pictobrowser slideshows into your blog.
