Created by Volutopia. SculptMaster allows you to create digital sculptures on the iPhone by painting and carving clay-like material with fingers.
The app works like any other familiar doodling application with the exception that you are operating in three dimensions. Workplanes rotate as you adjust the view and you can either carve or build clay. Â You can choose to begin with empty workspace or fill full container for carving exercise. Paint tool is also available so your creations can be painted during the build or after. Because the painting is done via small polygon count and thereafter subdivided providing you with a smooth surface, it can be a little hard to see what you are actually doing. This of course is iPhone’s processor limitation and with the faster processor more control could be expected in the future.
Unfortunately, no export features are included. You can only save your creations in the form of images which is a slight disappointment. Never the less, it’s an interesting concept and those interesting in 3D sculpting/drawing on the iPhone should enjoy it.
