It was just three weeks ago we were in Montréal for the 4th edition of MUTEK_IMG, MUTEK’s forum on digital creation. Invited to contribute to its symposium, we curated five panels. In this post-festival report, we share some highlights.
04/05/2018The 2017 edition of Eastern Bloc’s Sight + Sound festival put ‘capital I’ innovation in its cross-hairs and pulled the trigger. We journeyed to Montreal to its flagship exhibition and assess its spectrum of ‘non-compliant futures.’
01/11/2017The CAN/HOLO team is headed to Montréal for the 18th edition of MUTEK. A celebration of the best and brightest in audiovisual performance, we’ll be hosting ‘HOLO Encounters’ with several of the festival’s featured artists.
01/08/2017The Object of the Internet is a kinetic installation by Montréal-based artist duo Project EVA. Prepared for “The Dead Web” exhibition at Eastern Bloc, the apparatus invites viewers to put their heads inside an elaborate spinning apparatus that reflects and blurs their likeness and identity.
