Showcasing three film collaborations by Liam Young and Tim Maughan, “New Romance: Love Stories from the Machine City” is an exhibition currently showing at the Arthur Ross Architecture Gallery (Columbia GSAPP) about finding respite and cultivating resistance in the smart city.

Wind of Boston: Data Paintings by Refik Anadol Studios is a site-specific installation that turns the invisible patterns of wind in and around Boston into a series of data paintings on a 1.8m x 4m digital canvas.

Hyperfeel is a series of four video artworks by FIELD produced for the launch of the Hyperfeel shoe for Nike. Animated in Houdini using procedural/generative processes, pieces capture “macro-textural, sensual aesthetic” – describing emotions of running on different terrains: on sand, grass, tarmac and trail.

Captives is an ongoing series of digital and physical sculptures by Quayola and a contemporary homage to Michelangelo’s unfinished series “Prigioni” (1513-1534) and his technique of “non-finito”.

Developed as a collaboration between Quayola & Sinigaglia, Dedalo is a collection of custom developed vvvv engines (and a toolkit) to generate, exchange and map data between a series of graphics modules and a rendering engine used for live performance.

Perception of Consequence project represents two fluid-evolving forms are placed in a reversible entropic system and simulated to resemble evolving human states and emotions.

Meanders is a generative system driven by the interaction of growing agents. The agents are governed by conditions, allowed to wonder and their paths converted to object, outputted as OBJ and rendered.
