  • Daito Manabe has been working on his Electric Stimulus project for few years now and maybe best know for his myoelectric sensor pieces from 2006. Most recently, he’s also been doing workshops at the Tokyo Zokei University. Few days ago, he posted an update, showing utilisation of Electric Stimulus on secondary body, used as an instrument. In the video, Masaki Teruoka is the subject with touch sensors attached to Daito’s fingers not only sending shocks to Masaki’s face but also outputting the results to MaxMSP via Arduino to generate sound . As a result, an interesting situation occurs where touch generated music is directly related to facial expression.

    sensor device: Masaki Teruoka
    programing: Daito Manabe
