Sixteen Candles is an experiment in physical computing by Nick Bruscia and Aaron Miller from 2007. An installation, a piece of video art, consists of a live burning candle, captured and projected back on the walls in the room. This is done via a set of 16 rapidly tilted up and down mirrors each projecting part of the 4×4 grid onto the walls.
Aaron Miller is an interactive multimedia artist, producer, and technician based in Philadelphia. He has worked as project manager, software developer, and artist at museums and cultural institutions worldwide. Aaron is also the Co-Founder of  The Perpetual Art Machine, www.perpetualartmachine.com.
Nicholas Bruscia is a recent graduate from the collaborative dual masters degree program between Architecture (Situated Technologies Research Group) and Media Robotics at SUNY Buffalo. His recent research has been centered on generative scripting within physical computing through creating responsive analog design techniques that are informed by algorithmic processes. (nbruscia.blogspot.com)
