Alba is a light sculpture with 8 programs that explore gradients using different algorithmic approaches.
The object has two knobs – one to select the program, the other to change a parameter, which does something different in each program. Some gradients are static, some are dynamic, producing subtle variations in the display and the environment.
The object features a 64×32 LED matrix display and a Pimoroni Interstate 75 board, running custom Python code. The piece can be hang on the wall, attached to a metal surface using magnets, or sit on flat un a surface using a custom stand.
