Created by xionchannel, Solid Dots is a 3d pixel based sculpting tool with online features to share and download models. You begin by making a pixel model in the shape of a board, then extrude to acquire depth and finally sculpt it to round the object. Using the tools like knife to sculpt, bucket to paint and rock to create, you modify pixelated model to how you want it. Texture tool is also available, few to select from and of course a smooth 3d rotate and zoom to get the best picture of what you are doing.
A screen about a save and initialization opens by tapping a book icon. You can upload a work by tapping “Upload” and can see/download other people’s models by tapping “Download”. You can also comment others’ work.
A fun all around 3d modeling tool for pixel geeks. If you enjoy creating 2D pixel artwork you should definitely give Solid Dots a go. The full version will cost you $2.99 but Solid Dots is also available as a free (lite) version that includes most of the features apart from save. Have a play, would love to hear your thoughts.
