  • The Helix is a large-scale kinetic light and sound installation built around a five-metre rotating sculpture of mirrored glass. Four projectors cast synchronised light onto the moving surfaces, refracting geometric shafts through haze and across the surrounding architecture. A custom control system links the sculpture’s movement, projected image and quadraphonic sound, allowing the work to behave as a single audiovisual instrument.

The spiral form references the double helix of DNA. Rather than illustrating that structure directly, the installation uses it as the basis for an immersive encounter with rhythm, reflection and recursive geometry.

The Helix uses DMX-controlled rotation, four synchronised projectors, haze and reflected volumetric light, quadraphonic sound, and a custom audiovisual synchronisation system.
